Following Brett Metcalfe’s podium success in Newcastle, the team have continued testing in Melbourne, making solid progress going into the weekend.

“We made gains that we capitalised on at New Castle but the team and I still felt we could improve the bike following rounds 7 and 8. I definitely feel we are on the right track and I know with the right set up we can win races,” said Metcalfe.

Now sitting in fifth in the Championship, Metcalfe aims to push for podiums finishes in the final two rounds.

“I have fourth overall set in my sights but third isn’t out of the question. There are still 140 points left to battle for and I am 50 points of 3rd and 9 points of 4th. My focus now is finishing each of the four races left as high as I can. I should be on the podium, we have the speed and I am confident in my bike.” Said Metcalfe.

The Penultimate round of the Championship will be held in Gladstone, QLD this weekend.

Team director Yarrive Konsky is pleased to return with some bittersweet feelings, “The last time I was in Gladstone was for Jono Porters funeral. I have definitely been thinking about his passing leading up to this race. Jono was one of the most amazing personalities in our sport and I am glad to have known him. I am happy with where the team is at, we are settling down and everyone is gaining confidence. We will chase podiums in the final two rounds, anything less will be disappointing,” said Konsky.
