Penrite Honda’s Brett Metcalfe is ready to come out firing at round 2 of the MX Nationals this weekend in Appin, NSW after intense testing in Melbourne with the team.

“We took note of everything following round 1 and have a very clear game plan for this weekend. We want to come out as strong as we can so this weekend is about fine tuning our race day routine,” said Metcalfe.

Metcalfe knows it is a long championship and understands the team can’t afford anymore setbacks.

“The team has been relentless in their pursuit to get me comfortable. I am definitely racing to win and will do everything I can to claw back the points deficit we have,” Metcalfe finished.

Penrite Honda Racing team director Yarrive Konsky is positive the team is moving forward.

“I have faith in everyone, especially Brett. We went in to round 1 not knowing where we were. He qualified 2 nd and was racing for a podium finish before we had an unfortunate DNF. We have learnt from this and have been testing for the past 5 days. We are in a much better position going in to round 2.” Konsky said.
