MILESEVIC HAS EYES ON THE AORC PRIZE!

Honda Ride Red team rider Emma Milesevic is gunning for the women’s AORC title, with the final two rounds this weekend in Hedley, Victoria. 

The rookie off-road racer has hit the ground running in her maiden season of the AORC, currently sitting in 2^ndplace overall.  

“I am really enjoining racing in the off roads. This is my first full season racing and I am happy to have won and placed in six of the eight rounds,” said Milesevic.

The young Victoria is racing a CRF450R and believes it’s the perfect bike for her.

“There was some hesitation around me racing a 450 but the Honda is smooth and light, it’s awesome to ride.  My first win came on the 450 so it proved I made the right choice and I’m happy we made the change,” continued Milesevic 

Ride Red program director Yarrive Konsky isn’t surprised by her results.

“Emma is dedicated; methodical, disciplined and doesn’t like to lose. She focuses on her weaknesses and makes them her strengths, that’s why I am not surprised to see her doing so well in her first season in AORC,” said Konsky.

The Australian Off Road Championship is conducted over ten rounds and after eight challenging and enduring rounds Emma sits just 25 points off first place.

“Racing is anything but predictable.  I will admit the overall win might be a long shot but I am going into the final two rounds with a positive mindset and will give it my all,” continued Milesevic.

The Ride Red program supported three young female racers this year, with Milesevic noting how pleased she was to have had the support from Honda Australia. 

“We wouldn’t have been able to race this year if it wasn’t for Honda and the RIDE RED program. Having the support is so important, my bikes have been fresh and fast all year and I’ve had great equipment; like the Bridgestone tyres are ideal because they have a vast range to suit all of the racing conditions we need.  I am really looking forward to the final rounds this weekend,” concluded Milesevic.
