Honda’s Kirk Gibbs will compete in the annual Coffs Harbour Stadium X this weekend.
Kirk Gibbs is heading down to Coffs Harbour to get his 2021 season underway. The Queensland based rider will compete on the all new Honda CRF450R.
“I want to race as often as I can ahead of the Australian Motocross Championship (ProMX). I feel racing is the best form of development” said Kibbs.
The Coffs Harbour Arena X attracts many named riders and Kirk aims to make the most of this weekend’s race and learn more about the bike before heading to Victoria for his second test with Factory Honda.
“We tested in December and we collected a lot of data, we have a competitive package and I don’t feel like we need to change a lot. We have some new pipes, tires, engine components and mapping to go through. We are advancing fast as the race motors have been in development for months in preparation for the AMA Supercross Championship”.
Gibbs is gunning to win the MX1 class in 2021 and believes racing as much as he can will give him the best preparation possible.
“Each gate drop helps, whether I win or lose I learn so it’s important I do as much racing as possible ahead of the 2021 Championship. I am looking forward to the all-new 2021 ProMX Championship.” concluded Kibbs.
