Honda Australia’s factory off road racing transporter and 50th Anniversary Gold fleet will be on display outside the iconic Crown Casino, in Melbourne, from today until Saturday night.

Located by the Riverwalk in front of the famous Rosetta restaurant, Honda encourages on lookers to come and take a walk through the illusive Iveco powered B-Double.

This year Honda celebrated 50 years in Australia, marking the milestone with this special one off Gold fleet that has toured the country throughout the year. The one-off Gold collection includes some of Honda’s current iconic performance products, resplendent in striking gold bodywork as the traditional symbol of a 50th Anniversary.

General Manager of Honda Motorcycles, Tony Hinton, is pleased to have the gold collection on display in the heart of Melbourne with the racing transporter, noting the important role racing has played since Honda’s founding.

“Honda exists to bring joy to people’s lives, we do this through the products we make and through our racing so we are really proud to have the opportunity to show Melbournians this exciting display.” Hinton said.

Underneath the awning of the transporter will be the 2018 Championship winning CBR1000RR Fireblade race bike, the CRF450R Penrite Honda Supercross bike, the 2020 CRF250R and the gold collection, which consists of the following models:

The CBR1000RR Fireblade, which has been a pivitol model in the Honda line up since 1992, significantly influencing the direction of the high performance motorcycle category and an obvious inclusion in the one-off Gold collection. A masterpiece of machinery from its inception to present day.

The CRF450L, which is one of the newer models in Honda’s line up and a re-entry into the highly competitive Enduro market. Honda’s answer to the next generation of dual-purpose motorcycles. The inclusion of the CRF450L in the Gold collection pays homage to the long and successful history Honda’s Off Road, Competition and Enduro ranges holds with off road riders.

One of Honda’s best-selling motorcycle models of all time is the CRF50F, taking out the number 1 selling model across all manufactures year in and year out, already a golden model in its own right, a cornerstone inclusion in the Gold collection. The CRF50F is where it all begins, lighting a fire within that has off road riders hooked to Honda for life. The start of their journey, moving up through the CRF range and either on to one of Honda road bikes or onto the podium as a Motocross or Supercross champion.

Then there is the portable powerhouse, EU22i generator. One of the best-selling Honda products across all categories, powering job sites, sporting events, camping trips throughout Australia. As the benchmark generator of all portable generators in the market, the EU22i plays an integral role in sales and brand values and an obvious inclusion in the 50th Anniversary Gold celebrations.

Proudly designed and assembled here in Australia, the HRU19 Buffalo Premium lawnmower plays an important part not only in Honda’s line up but also as a symbol of Australian manufacturing, which is a rare occurrence in modern times. The HRU19 is one of the newer mowers to hit the Australian market and arguable the first gold mower in Australia… or so we claim.Patrons can enjoy the display across three days, from today, tomorrow and Saturday.
