Honda Racing’s Full Lineup Confirmed for Round 7!

Honda Racing is fully engaged and ready for action this weekend at Round 7 of the Australian Motocross Championship, taking place at the renowned MX FARM in Gympie. Exciting news for Honda fans: the entire team will be on the lineup, including Wilson Todd, who makes his return after a long absence due to a leg injury.

Wilson’s comeback is a significant boost for the team, as the 2022 and 2023 MX2 champion is eager to get back into the racing groove ahead of the Australian Supercross Championship. “It feels like forever since I last raced. While I’m not race-fit yet, I need to get back to racing to regain my speed and fitness before Supercross,” said Wilson.

He’ll join current points leader Kyle Webster in the MX1 class. Webster, unfazed by his narrow points lead, approaches this weekend like any other. “Worrying doesn’t help. I can only control what I can control. There will be a fight till the end, and I aim to be in that fight. It’s great to have Wilson back and the full team together this weekend,” Webster shared.

In the MX2 class, Brodie Connolly has a chance to clinch the championship this weekend, though he’s focused on racing smart. “Whether it’s this weekend or next, my goal is to secure the overall championship. It would be nice to go into the final round without pressure, but I won’t change my approach—that’s when things go wrong,” Connolly stated.

Honda’s other MX2 riders are also focused on their goals: Noah Ferguson aims to secure second place in the championship, making these next four races crucial, while Alex Larwood is pushing for two more podiums as he battles to secure his position on the team. Leading female racer Charli Cannon will join the team this weekend to compete against the men before returning to the women’s class for the final round next weekend.

In the MX3 class, young Jake Cannon is determined to take the points lead this weekend, setting himself up for a championship win in the final round.
