Honda’s Kirk Gibbs on a state title hunt.

Terrafirma Honda Racing rider Kirk Gibbs has turned his attention to winning the Queensland Motocross Championship while the Aus Pro MX season remains uncertain.

“Its been tough watching Australia divide its borders, my momentum was building in the Aus Pro MX and I was feeling strong after winning the last moto in the last round. Whilst we wait to see what’s happening with the nationals, I’ve been lucky to continue training and racing locally. I want to win the Queensland titles,” said Gibbs.

This weekend marks the final round of the Queensland titles, to be held in the Sunshine Coast at the famous Coolum Motocross Track.

“This is one of my favourite tracks, there will be plenty of competition and I hope we come away with the win on board the mighty Honda CRF450R,” added Gibbs.

With New South Wales and Victoria still in lockdown the team has been behind Gibbs state title pursuit.

“We are pleased to support local racing, it’s the bread and butter of our sport and we appreciate Kirk’s commitment to racing as often as he can within Queensland. The competition at state level is high, he is racing the current Australian MX Champion so there is merit in racing and winning, and we hope he comes away with the title.” Said team director Yarrive Konsky.
