Factory Honda Racing Team is geared up and ready to do battle this weekend in round 2 of the Australian Motocross Championship at Appin, New South Wales.

The Boost Mobile Honda Racing MX1 team are itching for a gate drop.  Jed Beaton fired the first shot in round 1 by qualifying first and his team Kyle Webster was third.

Beaton hasn’t raced a national in Australia for 5 years and wants to make a statement.

“I feel good, testing has gone well and the team hasn’t stopped helping me get comfortable. We showed at Wonthaggi that we are ready and I feel we have advanced since then” said Beaton.

MX2 reigning champion and currents points leader Wilson Todd is focused on maintaining his winning steak aboard his Terrafirma Equipment Sales Honda CRF 250R.

“I took a week off following round 1 to recover from the crash I had.  These past few days have been good, I am back on the bike and I feel we will be competitive” said Todd.

Newly signed Polyflor Honda MX2 rider Brodie Connolly is seeking redemption following the mistakes he made at round 1.

“I had a shot at the podium and I threw it away by making a silly mistake and crashing.  I was happy to get back up and make my way to 5th but its not where I want to be.  I am looking to make up for it this weekend” said Connolly.
