Honda Australia’s off road factory race team partners with Castrol for the 2021 racing season.

Team director Yarrive Konsky acknowledges his confidence in a brand with such a strong Australian heritage, one that includes the sponsorship of the iconic Mr Motocross Championship.

“Castrol is the product we used when I first raced; it’s a brand you can trust, a true motorcycle racing brand that has supported racing for more than 100 years. Castrol’s heritage in Australia is unmatched.” Konsky said.

Using motorsport, specifically motorcycle racing, to improve products and push technological barriers forms the basis of Castrol’s philosophy. Castrol’s Motorcycle Brand Manager, Duncan Hale is pleased to put this philosophy into action with this exciting partnership with Honda and their Championship winning team.

“Castrol’s association with Honda started in the 1950’s. From 1959 to 1967 Castrol and Honda won 17 championships together. Yarrive has managed Motocross, Supercross and Superbike championship winning teams so together we hope Castrol and Honda can return to the winners circle in Australia.” Hale said.

Founded in 1899, Castrol has been at the forefront of performance for more than 120 years. They have achieved numerous world championships with Honda in the World Superbike Championship and have been successful in MotoGP with LCR Honda.

“We have been involved in racing in Australia for more than 60 years and this new partnership with Honda highlights our ongoing commitment to motorcycle racing locally and globally,” Hale finished.

Castrol’s racing heritage is unparalleled with wins in Formula 1, Moto GP, Indy Car, Nascar, American Supercross and Motocross, World MX GP, Supercars and Australian Motocross and Supercross.
