Luke Clout victorious in his return to racing.
Luke Clout is a national and state champion and after embarking on a world tour he returned to compete in Australia. Whilst the coronavirus has affected racing throughout the world, we have been fortunate enough to see racing resume in some states of Australia.
Luke Clout and the Penrite Factory Honda Team raced in the East Coast Motocross Championship and Luke was victorious, winning all three races and claiming the overall.
“It was great, I love racing. I also go to connect with my roots, my parents were there and there were riders of all ages and classes competing. I enjoyed being amongst it. It was also good to use the weekend for testing. Nothing beats racing” said Clout.
The weekend marked Luke’s first race on Honda’s CRF450R as Luke campaigned a 250 overseas.
“The 450 is different and you need to ride it differently. I am glad I am getting some racing in ahead of the nationals. We are really close with bike setup; I learnt a little over the weekend as the track got rougher and we will make some minor changes ahead of the next round” said Clout.
Clout and the Penrite Factory Honda Team are committed to the East Coast Championship.
