Penrite Honda Racing head to Missouri this weekend for the second round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, held at the Dome at America’s Centre, in St Louis.

After debriefing on Monday and analysing race video; the team formulated a plan to be better prepared for round 2. Engine and suspension testing were high on the agenda as well as increased intensity on the track .

Riders Luke Clout and Mitchell Oldenburg have tested during this week, taking everything they learned in Anaheim to ensure they ride to their full potential come Saturday.

“I’m feeling good heading into St Louis, we’ve spent a lot of time testing and getting things right. I had a good day testing on Tuesday and it was really good to have Ricky from KYB out there with us, we made some changes and I’m looking forward to getting out there racing.” Clout said.

After several crashes throughout the round one proceedings, Oldenburg is focused on a stronger result come the weekend.

“I had solid speed in Anaheim, I was really happy to be running top 5 during the main so it was a bummer to crash so I want to push harder to be up there this weekend. Testing and training has been good, as I said on the weekend, my mind is right and I just want to race. Can’t wait to get behind the gates on Saturday!” Oldenburg said.

Team owner Yarrive Konsky is happy with how the team has progressed during the week and wants redemption on Saturday.

“I know the boys can be up there and I want them to show their potential. We are surrounded by great people, the guys from KYB have been out this week to ensure our suspension is more accustom to each rider and Jamie from Twisted Development has worked tirelessly on our motors. We will continue to develop our program over the coming weeks and we look forward to seeing everyone in St Louis.” Konsky said.
