2018 Season Recap:
Oldenburg switched to the monster Energy/Yamalube/Star/Yamaha team in the off-season and was signed up to contest the 250SX Western regional Championships in 2018. Mitchell suffered a knee injury during the season, which ended his year early

2019 Season Recap:
Mitchell looked to get on the podium and land his first career win. He was able to score a podium finish at the penultimate round at East Rutherford but then crashes in the heat race and the LCQ at the Las Vegas finale kept him out of the main.
After finishing his AMA season, Mitchell went on to debut in the Australian Supercross Championship, where he came away with 3rd overall in the 250cc class.
