Over 600 riders are tipped to compete at the Hattah Desert Race this weekend, in Mildura, Victoria including Penrite Honda Racing’s Desert outfit.

Following their Finke campaign, the team immediately turned their attention to Hattah.

Callum Norton flew straight to Mildura to prepare for the four-hour nonstop full throttle race; “I felt good at Finke and I wanted to make sure I maintained my preparation for Hattah by spending as much time in Mildura as I could. I was 4th overall last year and I want improve on that.” Said Norton.

Jacob Smith has put Finke behind him and is fully focused on his second desert challenge for 2018.

“We had pace at Finke and I have taken as many positives as I can from that. I want to push for victory. We are prepared for Hattah and I am ready to challenge for results,” said Smith.

250cc Finke Champion Mark Grove and teammate Caleb Auricht have set their sights on a repeat 1 – 2 in the 250 class.

“I’ve been on such a high from Finke, all of our hard work paid off! I feel good going into Hattah and hope for a similar result,” said Grove.

“I like racing Hattah; it’s a sprint race that lasts 4 or more hours and we are ready to go after the same results we achieved in Finke,” said Auricht.

The team and their IVECO truck will be in town for scrutineering on Friday 6th as well as the all-new CRF450L and encourage fans to come and say hello.
